About the event
What is interoception?
Also known as the felt sense, it’s experienced as sensation in the body and is a significant part of our perceptions and how we experience our emotions. This sensation is the language of your nervous system and serves as an excellent tool for regulating your emotions! You can read more about it in this article I wrote for MyWellbeing.com
This workshop will guide you through a conscious experience of nervous system states, and  help you cultivate a new awareness of the inner workings of your body. The workshop will run from 10:30 until 13:15 and be in two parts.
Part 1- We will open with grounding techniques to bring us into the present moment and turn the volume down on the world outside! Next, a galvanising breath practice will prepare your body to glide effortless through a juicy, feminine movement sequence, created to energise your body and bring you into connection with your vagus nerve.
Part 2 – Slowing the pace, connecting to mother earth, and relaxing deeply into your muscles and releasing through your fascia (connective tissue). This Yin sequence will encourage an inward curiosity towards your felt experience, and create some space between you and any distracting thoughts. I will help guide your attetnion throughout the practice, encouraging gentle pendulation between awareness of your body and the content of your mind.
Mats will be available but please bring your own if you prefer. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring an extra layer/pair of socks for the yin sequence.
I’m looking forward to moving and breathing together, see you there!
